Well known motivational speaker, columnist and media personality Bruce Boguski spoke with Macalester athletes and coaching staff on Sept. 17 at Alumni Gymnasium in the Leonard Center. Boguski gave a message to around 300 Mac student-athletes about inspiration for success, best performance under pressure,and developing athletic performance.
Boguski is popular for his capacity and knack to inspire others to "Do the Impossible". He has the skills and the capability to prevail over physical as well as mental challenges. In most of his speeches,he narrates his personal experiences from being partially paralyzed because of an accident to becoming a state champion twice in racquetball after his recovery. Presently he is the head of a consulting firm in Ohio, together with which he delivers speeches on motivational tactics.
He went through tough times in his personal life,as when he was 18 years,in an automobile accident he was partially paralyzed.Doctors had even informed him that he may never be able to walk again. But eventually due to his own will power he left the hospital within a span of just 6 months.He struggled for nearly 2 years to recover and eventually he went on to be a 2 time state champion in racquetball.
Currently he addresses people of all types including teachers, students, salespeople, secretaries, executives, etc about how attitude can make a whole lot of difference in whatever tasks we take up. He is a worldwide well known presenter on motivational strategies and metal stiffness training for business and sports, utilizing soaring energy, interactive techniques to motivate and entertain his audiences.

Hope International University's annual "Celebrate Hope" dinner which is to held at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in Anaheim, California will have Buzz Aldrin as their keynote speaker.The event is scheduled to take place on October 16th at 6.00pm. Astronaut,Explorer, Scientist and American hero, Dr. Buzz Aldrin was the second person to land on the moon on July 20,1969.
After his retirement from NASA, the USAF, and his position as Commander of the TestPilot School at Edwards Air Force Base, Dr. Aldrin established his rocket design company, Starcraft Boosters, Inc.He also founded the ShareSpace Foundation, a nonprofit that was devoted to pave the way to space tourism for all people.
Dr. Aldrin contributes to his vision for the future of space travel with the youth of today through his first illustrated children's book "Reaching for the Moon" and two space novels: "The Return" and "Encounter with Tiber". He has also written an autobiography, "Return to Earth". His other books include bestseller historical documentary, "Men from Earth which narrates his trip to the moon and his distinctive outlook of America's space program.His newest book, "Magnificent Desolation" is a New York Times bestseller and is an autobiographical account of his journey to the moon and a glimpse into the hurdles he faced and overcame in his personal life.
Hope International University was established in 1928 as Pacific Bible Seminary and has ever since developed to two distinct schools - Pacific Christian College and the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. The University proffers a learning experience that encourages logical, social, physical, and religious development.
