You don’t need to hear my voice today. You need to hear the voices of black North Americans. We all need to listen, learn, and take action. Thanks to Commune’s Jeff Krasno and Anasa Troutman for curating this valuable resource list on racism and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Why Black Lives Matter is Important
The Black Lives Matter movement was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. It has since grown into a global network advocating for the rights and dignity of Black individuals, challenging systemic racism, and promoting justice and equality. This movement highlights the ongoing struggles faced by Black communities and calls for meaningful change in societal structures.
